As Fellowship Bible Church of Northwest Arkansas celebrates its 40th anniversary during the month of May, our hearts are filled with gratitude to God for all He has done in and through His people. While appropriate to look back and reflect on God’s goodness, we should also look forward to what can be accomplished as we continue to be laser-focused on fulfilling our vision and mission. As the church of Jesus Christ, having been given a Biblical mandate to grow, we want to be content, but never complacent.

Your generosity has allowed Fellowship to expand exponentially during our first 40 years. Over the past ten years, the people of Fellowship have donated over $50,000,000 to expand facilities and reach more people in Northwest Arkansas. This was over and above donations for budgeted resources that maintain excellence in ministry.

In celebration of our 40th anniversary, the Elders have set a new goal before us – “50 by 50” – to raise $50 million by our 50th anniversary. These funds will be allocated toward establishing new congregations and providing resources for church planting efforts, both locally, regionally, and globally. A “50 by 50 Multiplication Fund” has been established to help track our progress. One-time and recurring gifts to this fund can be set up immediately. The Elders, who are tasked with leading us, believe we can do this. In fact, they believe we can do even MORE than 50M!

Pray, Believe, Act

As a church family, we want to PRAY, BELIEVE, and ACT in seeking to meet this challenge. We find guidance for this in Ephesians 3:14-21, where Paul prays for the Ephesian church and casts vision for their ministry. These verses remind us to PRAY faithfully. As a people of prayer, we never want to be out of step with God. Prayer nourishes our relationship and fellowship with Him. As we pray, we must BELIEVE in the power of the Holy Spirit at work within us. We pray with expectation! And we must ACT in faithfulness to our calling, never becoming passive. Jesus commands in the Great Commission that we make disciples, and as His followers, we are to accomplish this directive with faithful resolve. Paul reminds us in Ephesians 3:20 that God “is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.”

In recognition and celebration of God’s faithfulness over the past 40 years, let’s rise to meet the challenge of our Elders.
