What to Know

Fellowship Family,

When I was a boy, my grandfather (born in 1913) used to tell stories about a time when he was 5 years old and a sickness swept through the hills outside of Calico Rock where he lived. He was the only person in his family who didn’t get sick. He recounted that his family couldn’t lift their heads from their pillows because they were so ill. He gathered and cooked eggs on a wood stove to keep he and his dog from starving. It occurred to me later in life that he was describing the Spanish Flu Pandemic of 1918. It affected ¼ of the world’s population and though they estimate that over 50,000,000 people died, no one knows for sure. My grandfather said there were houses scattered throughout the hills where entire families had died. There is so much we don’t know about Covid-19, but as of now, it continues to spread rapidly and where one person may have mild symptoms, the virus is deadly to another. It is essential that we take this virus seriously and follow CDC and “good sense” guidelines, as the numbers in Arkansas and surrounding states continue to climb. Your church staff is taking precautions and we hope you are, as well.

Holy Week begins Sunday
Adult Daily Readings & Devotional
Family Devotional
As we enter Holy Week in our Clarity series, we have a tremendous opportunity to spend extra devotional time contemplating the last week of Christ’s life on earth. Our worship teams, teachers, video producers, and audio technicians are working hard to provide us with excellent experiences on Palm Sunday and Easter. They are doing an excellent job! Your staff are all heartbroken that we can’t conduct Palm Sunday and Easter services live with all of you. But… it is what it is! I hope you will find comfort and joy in the resources made available.

Join me in Prayer
A good brother sent the following to me today: “This has been coming to my mind a lot over the last few weeks, especially since we have been praying for revival during a global pandemic. Can you imagine if: the Lord ended the Coronavirus on either Good Friday or Easter? When I say end it... I mean not a trace of it anywhere in the world. BAM... it's just gone. Not just Rogers... or Arkansas... or USA... I mean nowhere on the planet could it be found. Before a vaccine, before weather, or anything else could take the credit, that it would vanish in a way that could not be explained on Easter, the day Christians recognize as the day their Savior conquered the grave. God is big enough and is able to do more than we can ask or imagine!”

Why don’t we join him in this prayer? I think of what Dr. Bill Bright once said, “My greatest regret is that someday when I stand before Christ, I will realize that I asked Him for far too little.” Let’s ask God to do more than we could ever ask or imagine. Thank you, again, Fellowship for your generosity during this time. This is a frightening time financially for so many, but you have not wavered in your giving to God through Fellowship. We are a blessed church and I pray that, in turn, we are a blessing to Northwest Arkansas and the world.

  • Weekend services & small group gatherings are
    suspended until further notice.
  • Worship service videos and resources available online.
  • Free Clarity Books available for pick-up at the offices of both campuses or download the pdf.
  • Don't neglect your personal worship through tithes and offerings. Give Now.
  • Pray for opportunities to reach our communities with the hope of the Gospel.

Note from Pastor

Hey Fellowship,

Recently, our elders met to discuss our future re-open date for our in- person worship services. In light of the spike in NWA cases and hospitalizations it has been decided that we will continue to worship together via online services through the month of June. Please pray for them as they guide us towards a safe return to live services at some point in the future.

The last 3-4 weeks have been a heavy time for our nation. The spread of the COVID-19 virus and the sickness and death that come with it, compounded by the economic down turn that has many in the unemployment line or trying to figure out how to put food on the table or keep their business open.

But most recently we have experienced a different kind of crisis as our nation has been thrown into turmoil over the death of George Floyd, just days after the deaths of Breonna Taylor and Ahmad Arbury. I am certain that you have experienced a variety of emotions over the last few weeks: sadness, outrage, anger, fear, frustration.

Why has this been so upsetting? Why has this been so painful? Because what has occurred has been the exact opposite of what the Bible teaches.

We have seen hate when the Bible calls us to love.

We have seen racism when the Bible calls for us to assign value and dignity to all people who are created in His image regardless of the color of their skin.

We have seen death with our own eyes, when the Bible values life.

We have seen hostility where the Bible calls for peace/reconciliation

We have seen mistreatment where the Bible calls for justice.

We have seen discrimination where the Bible calls for a unified multi-cultural community. The Bible tells us that heaven will be populated by every tongue tribe and nation.

If you have felt unrest as a follower of Christ, then it is warranted. This is not how it is supposed to be. The current trouble runs counter culture to the Biblical standard.

But let’s let this moment not be wasted and may we the church be the heart, voice, hands feet of Christ in our community and in our nation.

Ways to Engage

As you seek to grow personally through prayer and Scripture reading, continue to reach out to people in your Fellowship circle. This may include people in your current Community Group, other friends from a previous Community Group, someone that you have served with at church, friends that you normally see on weekends at Fellowship, people who have impacted the lives of others in your family, etc. Make time to reach out by writing a note, typing an email, making a call, or sending a text. Strive to be an encourager and be sure to pray for them.

Many of our small groups – Community Groups, Cell Groups, Women’s Studies, Discover Groups, Step Studies, etc. – have continued to find ways to meet together while observing appropriate social distancing. Some are meeting online through a video or chat platform like Skype or Google Hangouts. Others are finding creative ways to adapt to the new safety guidelines and still keep groups connected.

Our Clarity sermon series will continue as planned - watch recorded services here. We encourage you to continue reading, listening, praying, and studying through all the available Clarity Resources at home during the week. FREE Clarity devotional books are available for pick-up, located on a cart outside the doors of the Training Center entrance or download the pdf.

Faith Not Fear by Debbie Rambo
With the coming of COVID-19, every person’s world has changed in some way. In early March, we at the Samaritan Community Center saw that COVID-19 would eventually affect NWA. Some nonprofits temporarily closed, and their employees were sent to work from home. As this created an even greater need for basic services for struggling families, we contemplated what we should do.

Ways to Pray

- Pray for wisdom for our elders as they process the right time to open back up for small group and worship gatherings.

- Pray for our church to continue to serve those in need in NWA.

- Thank God for His continued provision through the generosity of Fellowship.

- Pray for the eradication of the Covid-19 virus in our world and for healing for those infected.

- Pray for our health care workers who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to serve in this time.

Childcare for Healthcare Workers
Fellowship is providing needed childcare for Mercy hospital staff through the end of July. Thank you for the outpouring of generosity for this project. Will will finish these last two months strong! If you would like to help with that, we have a couple of needs.
1. Give a $50-$100 gift card to a local restaurant. Once a week we would like to provide a big Fellowship Thank You by “giving dinner” to our hospital staff as they pick up their children. We need will need about 115 more cards to be able to give one per family each week for the rest of the program.
2. Treat our childcare staff with snacks or lunch one day. We currently have a team of 21 individuals who are on the Fellowship Rogers campus Monday-Friday from 7:15am-4:30pm.

Please pray! For health for staff, children, and hospital staff.

Email Robyn Yates or call her at 972-743-0090 to help in any of these ways.

Knowing and expressing the authentic Christ.

Fellowship Rogers exists to help you in your journey toward genuine life-change through an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ. It is our passion to help equip and empower you to express that relationship in transformational ways to others around you. How? It’s a simple plan that begins with worshiping together and gathering in small groups.

Worship Together

We invite you to join us this weekend as we worship together in spirit and truth around Biblical teaching, singing, prayer, communion, baptism, and sharing stories of how God is changing our hearts and lives.

Navigating a new church can be intimidating, but we’re here to help you feel at home! It’s as simple as walking through the door, and we’re here to help you with the rest.

I'm New!

Gather in Small Groups

We all need to be known, loved, and surrounded by others who will encourage and support us as we navigate life and grow in our faith. We believe this happens best in the context of a small group - a place to belong, grow, and serve within our cities and neighborhoods. Children experience small groups during their services on Sunday mornings, and students and adults gather in small groups in homes throughout the week. We want to help you flourish in your season of life and small groups are foundational to accomplishing this in a meaningful way!

Clarity: Theology

The word theology simply means the study of God. The way we study & know God determines what we believe & how we will interact with Him and the world. Theology is a word that strikes either fear or boredom into the hearts of many. But, pursuing theology is the most relevant thing a Christian can do.
